“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” John Adams
On the Lighter Side…
Abbott and Costello on Unemployment according to Obama Economics:
COSTELLO: I want to talk about the unemployment rate in America. ABBOTT: Good Subject! Terrible Time! It’s 8%.
C.: That many people are out of work? A.: No, that’s 15%.
C.: You just said 8%. A.: 8% Unemployed.
C.: Right 8% out of work. A.: No, that’s 15%.
C.: Okay, so it’s 15% unemployed. A.: No, that’s 8%…
C.: WAIT A MINUTE. Is it 8% or 15%? A.: 8% are unemployed. 15% are out of work.
C.: IF you are out of work you are unemployed. A.: No, you can’t count the “Out of Work” as the unemployed. You have to look for work to be unemployed.
C.: BUT THEY ARE OUT OF WORK!!! A.: No, you miss my point.
C.: What point? A.: Someone who doesn’t look for work, can’t be counted with those who look for work. It wouldn’t be fair.
C.: To whom? A.: The unemployed.
C.: But they are ALL out of work. A.: No, the unemployed are actively looking for work. Those who are out of work stopped looking. They gave up. And, if you give up, you are no longer in the ranks of the unemployed.
C.: So if you’re off the unemployment roles, that would count as less unemployment? A.: Unemployment would go down. C.: Absolutely!
C.: The unemployment just goes down because you don’t look for work? A.: Absolutely it goes down That’s how you get to 8%. Otherwise it would be 15%. You don’t want to read about 15% unemployment, do ya?
C.: That would be frightening.. A.: Absolutely.
C.: Wait, I got a question for you. That means there are two ways to bring down the unemployment number? A.: Two ways is correct.
C.: Unemployment can go down if someone gets a job? A.: Correct.
C.: And unemployment can also go down if you stop looking for a job? A.: Bingo.
C.: So there are two ways to bring unemployment down, and the easier of the two is to just stop looking for work. A.: Now you’re thinking like an economist.
C.: I don’t even know what I just said! A.: Now you’re thinking like a politician.
That’s no joke… in a related subject:
Jobless rate drops as more give up looking; trucking adds 1,400 to rolls
The unemployment rate fell to 8.1 percent from 8.3 percent in July, the Labor Department said Friday. But that was only because more people gave up looking for work. The government only counts people as unemployed if they are actively searching.
An Explanation of Hard Assets in These Troubled Time
Edit. Glenn Beck does a good job of explaining Quantitative Easing and the value of hard assets. Meantime, a word of caution diamonds are not a good hedge against inflation which is essentially what he is comparing to QEI, II, III, etc. Diamonds are a controlled market by the DeBeers syndicate. Without this control diamonds would be as cheap as a six pack of beer. This is also varying reports of a huge find of diamonds in Russia within the past month, this has the same effect as the pie demonstration that Beck does in the above video.
Rumors of wars…
State Department sets up 24-hour monitoring team for embassy crisis
The State Department has gone into full-blown crisis mode, organizing a round-the-clock effort to coordinate the U.S. government’s response to the expanding attacks on U.S. embassies in the Middle East and North Africa.
Edit. Nothing like closing the barn door after the horse is gone… Especially, since this occurred on the anniversary of 9/11 all government facilities foreign and domestic should have been on high alert.
International armada masses in Persian Gulf
Edit. The situation in the Middle East from the so-called Arab Spring beginning in late 2010 seems to be culminating in the Persian Gulf. Israel is getting anxious and the US is trying to stay their hand until at least after the November elections. In steps resistance in the form of neutralizing allies has been successfully achieved through the alleged grassroots democracy efforts of the Arab States. However, the rebels actually consist of Al Qaeda, the Muslim Brotherhood, and other Islamist anti-American groups. While rendered ineffective as reliable allies, these states are completely unstable, as we recently saw in Benghazi, Libya. Meantime, other allies have stepped into the vacuum and these are formidable in the form of Russia and China. Hmmm! It certainly sounds like Magog, no.
Former State Dept. Veteran Drops Bombshell: WWIII Starts Sept. 25, 2012
Pieczenik says it’s clear to him that Israeli prime minister Bibi Netanyahu has already planned to attack Iran and has been desperately trying to enlist the U.S. to back him up. But, with or without U.S. direct help, Pieczenik is certain that Israel will attack Iran.
Edit. This is indeed serious, folks. While I don’t trust Alex Jones, IMHO, he is a sensational opportunist, throughout history during desperate economic times, the world turns to war as a final recourse. Certainly, these are unprecedented times. Official unemployment numbers are, by design untrue, the real number is closer to 22%; and the reason we don’t see the desperation of the Great Depression with breadlines and soup kitchens is that it is hidden by the increasingly higher percentage of food stamps by the citizenry.

Muslim union demands pope apology, accuses him of sedition
Edit. The apology is based on the Holy Father’s 2006 remarks in Regensburg, Germany, sure sounds like the midnight oil has been burning among the Muslim Brotherhood to data mine and dredge up old news to have a reason for more hateful demonstrations.
Will Science Someday Rule Out the Possibility of God?
Edit. There is none so blind as those who will not see… These alleged experts with all their fancy titles really cannot see the forest for the trees. They forget that the very nature of God is being, (the great I am; I am that am). They ignore the fact that he is being, all the while when they are attempting to do is study and define being. For professing themselves to be wise, they became fools. Rom.1:22
The times they are a changin’…
DC Launches First-In-The-Nation Trans Respect Ad Campaign
“People will see transgender people. They’re going through everyday life, everyday struggles — the same as straight people, rich people, everyone,” Kisha, ( a transvestite) who appears in one of the ads, said.
Edit. Not exactly, the America your grandparents once knew, Huh!
Soldier has baby on the frontline
Edit. What an absurdity, yet it is the logical outcome of the increasing role of women in military. While women have had a place in military service it has been in protected and unexposed auxiliary positions, and rightly, so simply based on what these headlines report. Women are the nurturers and not the defenders. This is a defined role of women designed by God based on their inherent faculties. However, as God is more and more excluded from the social order absurdities like this not only exist, but will increase.

How the Financial Collapse Would Happen in an Obama Second Term http://www.americanthinker.com/2012/09/how_the_financial_collapse_would_happen_in_an_obama_second_term.html#ixzz26p5IAqll
Edit. Logical extrapolation!
Let the men of wisdom speak…
Howbeit we speak wisdom among the perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, neither of the princes of this world that come to nought; But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, a wisdom which is hidden, which God ordained before the world, unto our glory : Which none of the princes of this world knew; for if they had known it, they would never have crucified the Lord of glory. St. Paul I Cor 2:6-8
Sufficient for the day is the evil thereof.
Sunrise, sunset; sunrise, sunset… and so goes the summer of 2012. Certainly, it was an odd mix of weather across the region, across the nation, and across the world. It seems everything was in the mix this season, drought, flooding, even tsunamis. Here in New England we oddly had a more balanced combination of weather, averaging about 4 or 5 days of sunshine followed by a couple or three days of rainy weather. While at first it seems a blessing it caused the weeds to shoust up as Lisa Douglas, (Green Acres) would say. All summer long it was a battle to keep up; and between the various squashes I grew and the weeds, nothing else had a chance.
I did manage to get some 4 or 5 heads of cabbage which are now fermenting into sauerkraut at the moment, but there was little of anything else besides some salad greens. At the moment, the vegetable garden has been turned over to the care of the 3 fat but molting hens. I do believe that they think they have died and gone to chicken heaven with all the succulent fresh plants and juicy bugs. They are so contented with the wild free-range fare that they are not even touching their chicken feed. I only have to refill their feeders every week to ten days.
Meantime, we are already having frost advisory within a 50 mile radius of the ol’ homestead so I’m quickly having to prepare plants and herbs for transfer to the greenhouse; but first it must be prepared with a new coat of paint inside. This is being done as I write this, by the weekend, it will be completed, and all plants to be saved from Old Man Winter will be as snug as a bug in a rug, in a cozy-warm greenhouse. That reminds me I have to test the LP heater to make sure it functions well after a long idle summer. This is imperative as the greenhouse was host to a myriad of spiders all season and they are notorious for blocking the LP jets with webbing.
I will also be going over the coal stove inside the house to be sure all fittings are tight and no corrosion or pitting has happened over the summer. I hope that all is sound or it will mean the laborious job of dismantling the stove and interior pipes for replacement. Keep me in your prayers that all is well because this is a job I don’t look forward to and would hope to hold off ‘til next year.
Times are quite troubling. Greed, mismanagement, immorality, has all taken a toll on global civilization. Now the chickens are coming home to roost. It has come high time to pay the piper for our collective misdeeds for at least the past thirty years. Throughout human history economic concerns have been the underlying cause of war either as a direct asset grab or as a diversion to keep the population off balance. I’m not predicting war, I’m actually reverberating what our own government says. We have wars on drugs, wars on terror, etc.: we are in fact in war at moment. Up to now, it was a diversion to keep the population unfocused on our own non-productive economy. Soon it will become a fight for assets and geo-political gain; largely oil, yes, black gold, and for a greater Israel. However, this is merely the tip of the iceberg, for as St. Paul has told us we war not against flesh and blood but against principalities in high places. Meaning the temporal struggle is a mere reflection of the war on a supernatural plain. Unless and until we see the Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary in the manner required, we will not see peace on this earth. Pray the Rosary for the Consecration of Russia by the Pope and all the Bishops.
