Post Election Analysis

Post-Election Analysis from a Catholic Viewpoint

Il Duce

While it comes as no surprise that Obama was re-elected, what’s more surprising are the issues that carried the day for him. With the economy deep in the tank and no semblance of a plan to get us out of the hole in which we find ourselves, one would think that this would be the key issue for most Americans. However, exit polls indicate that while Romney had a one percent lead over Obama on economic recovery plans, the majority of voters considered other issues as more pressing. (Aside, the majority of the electorate, even after four years of failed Obama Administration policies, thinks the economic malaise is the responsibility of the previous Bush administration …go figure.) It seems that 55% of women voted for Obama based on the “women’s right” of abortion on demand. Meantime, the young, (those under 30 Y. O.) voted 60% for Obama based on his abortion stance, the “right” of Sodomite Marriage, and the medical and recreational use of marijuana.

It is obvious to Faithful Catholics that pro-choice is just a euphemism for legalized murder of the innocent. Yet women of all ages have been duped to believe it is a basic right of so-called reproductive freedom; and the most amazing aspect is that many of these women are “practicing” Catholics who are attending Mass and the Sacraments on a weekly basis. Obviously, the United States Bishops Conference has failed to communicate authentic Catholic teaching in this regard, perhaps largely because they themselves are ambivalent on the issue.

Once again we see the reverberations of the reforms of Vatican Council II as it has settled into Western Society as a whole. Catholics are such a significant voting bloc within the US that they can sway any election or any social policy in the right direction, that is, if they have a rightly informed Catholic conscience. Prior to Vatican Council II Catholics were required to send their children to Catholic schools if there were such schools within reach of the home. After VCII such an ecclesiastical mandate was chucked along with many other things Catholic. The result is that our children’s souls were lost to the liberal secular educational institutions, thus causing election results as we witnessed just yesterday.

The most significant aspect of this election is that there is a wide divergence of opinion for the young verses old, both men and women, on all these key issues. Those under 30 Y.O. as stated believe in a more liberal attitude on abortion and Sodomy as right, legitimate, and moral actions. It is interesting to note that this group of voters are the ones who were entirely educated in a liberal educational system that mandated sex education, including abortion rights, premarital sex, masturbation as healthy, and explicit depictions of Sodomy as legitimate lifestyle choices. In other words, they were completely indoctrinated by the system to accept morals and values contrary to traditional Christian morality. While all this was occurring under the noses of the parents, otherwise preoccupied with second and third jobs, the clergy failed to correct these errors from the pulpits because many of these alleged guardians of our Catholic souls also bought into these lies. Is it any wonder why we are visited by natural calamities like Katrina and Sandy?

It is said that we get the government we deserve, so is it any wonder that we are descending deeper and deeper into a Communistic state of affairs both socially and economically? The trouble is that we will all suffer as a result of our chosen representatives; the good will suffer with the bad.

Obama is now free to “be more flexible” as he promised to outgoing Russian President Medvedev. Does this mean that the United States of American will become another satellite of the Supreme Neo-Soviet Bloc? I can hardly wait to see! Meantime, as Our Lady of Fatima told us unless Russia is Consecrated to my Immaculate Heart by the Pope and all the Bishops, Russia will continue to spread its errors. Pray the Rosary for this express purpose; it is the only way to stop the spread of this liberal onslaught.

Richard of Danbury, D.S.G.

About Catholic Rural Solutions

This group is for the practical application of Catholic Distributist teachings as promoted by Pope St. Pius X, Belloc, Chesterton, Maurin and others in the 20th century. This group is also a respite for traditional Catholics who adhere to the Tridentine Rite of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and who share a concern for small independent Catholic communities throughout the world. These communities while primarily small holding farmers, craftsmen and tradesman all espouse an integrated life based on Catholic Social Justice and the Sacred Magisterium of the Church. Through this we intend to inject the Distributist economic principles into the greater society. Please fell free to share your experiences in this vein. Flaming, proselytizing and persecution WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
