Edit. This is the neighborhood policeman-on-the-beat of my youth. He was the man you went to when you were lost, afraid, in danger, or simply just to pass the time. This was the man in blue who everyone looked up to and admired. He also inspired many kids to emulate him and join the police ranks. It is a real shame that today we place more emphasis on militarizing our police, thereby, tearing them from a traditional and rich heart of the community. More power to officer de Primo. This story restores my faith in humanity.

Truly amazing after reelection of His Lord and Savior, (per Jamie Foxx not me), BHO everything is once again looking up! In fact, he is the wizard of Oz, who with the complicity of the media, fools the world with much smoke and mirrors. So this Christmas season let’s spend, spend, and spend indulging our consumer glut to the fullest. Happy days are here again.

Israel moves to build 3,000 new settlement homes
Israel responded swiftly Friday to U.N. recognition of a Palestinian state, revealing it will build 3,000 more homes for Jews on Israeli-occupied lands that the world body overwhelmingly said belong to the Palestinians.
The plans also include future construction in a strategic area of the West Bank where critics have long warned that Jewish settlements would kill hopes for a viable Palestinian state.
Edit. This is another direct provocation of Palestinian anger and retaliation and still another example of the aggressive genocide of Palestinian Arabs. Lest most Americans give short shrift to the Palestinian persecutions by Israel as just another religious war of Jew against Islam, it is important to note that the Palestinians are comprised of between 20 to 30% Christian. In addition, there is increasingly less and less Christian representation in Israel in general as the nation increasingly disregards the rights of its religious minorities. So where is the outcry from the American Liberal Left concerning the fate of these unfortunate people such as is seen in their unending protests of American minority rights? Well, perhaps it is not in the bests interests of the liberals to throw stones at their own glass house. Justice, after all, is not as blind as most think.

The USS Eisenhower, an American aircraft carrier that holds eight fighter bomber squadrons and 8,000 men, arrived at the Syrian coast yesterday in the midst of a heavy storm, indicating US preparation for a potential ground intervention.

Prefect of CDF rips ‘heretical’ reading of Vatican II
The new prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF) has said that traditionalist Catholics advance a “heretical interpretation” of Vatican II if they claim that the Council made radical changes in Church teaching.
Edit. Shake off the stupor my fellow traditionalist Catholics. The NewChurch has no interest in us except to silence us. They are no more inclined to tradition than the Lutheran Church is to rejoin Roman Catholicism. Sure the fight is exhausting, but as a woman in labor, once her child is placed on her breast the travail no longer matters. Someday, should we persevere to the end, we will hear the Lord say: Well done, good and faithful servant, because thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will place thee over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. Then will this vale of tears and struggle seem like a vague dream. Fight the good fight; continue the struggle.

Vatican clergy and employees will be issued with an identity card complete with a microchip-tracking device in sweeping new security measures designed to prevent a repeat of the Vatileaks scandal.
Edit. RFID cards in the Vatican? The mark of the beast within the bosom of Christendom? Yet with all the surveillance of the past decade this is an accepted measure of the all seeing eye quite literally) within contemporary life.

Deadly ‘superbugs’ invade U.S. health care facilities
A new family of antibiotic-resistant bacteria, known as CRE, is raising concerns across the medical community because of its ability to cause infections that defy even the strongest antibiotics. The antibiotic resistance is spread by mobile pieces of DNA that can move between different species of bacteria, creating new, drug-defying bugs.
Edit. Mobile pieces of DNA… what is the significance of that statement? Does this mean the nature itself is essentially creating genetically modified organisms? Is this the result of overuse of antibiotics alone? Or is this some “designer” engineered biological warfare agent gone to “breakout” conditions? Along with MERSA, Legionnaires and other institutionally based bacteria there is wisdom in outpatient and one day surgeries programs within our healthcare systems. It makes logical sense, after all, that where sick people are gathered the more likely the presents of bacteria and illness. Obviously, we do need hospitals, but wisdom dictates that short stays are the order of the day. Additionally, a recuperating patient is much more comfortable in the familiar surroundings of one’s own home. This alone will have a significant impact on quick and efficient recovery.
In this regard, there should be social, economic, and governmental incentives for families to care for their elderly and infirm at home, where attending persons theoretically, have an interest in those for whom they care and assist. Obamacare would seem to be the antithesis of this concept where the sick, infirm, and elderly would be consigned to eventually die. It would be a human version of an elephant’s graveyard.
Now before anyone says: that’s easy for you to say, I have had my share of firsthand experience of taking care of the infirm and elderly over a period of many years. Yes, it is hard, but with the advent and advancement of Obamacare it will become imperative that we care for our loved ones on an intimate personal level.

Ban children’s books depicting traditional families: ‘gender stereotyping’ says EU report
Media depictions of traditional family roles for women, the draft report said, is “gender discrimination” and “facilitates the reproduction of gender stereotypes”.
Edit. Wake up! We are in a religious, cultural, and social war that was initiated in the radical 1960’s. So now we see that traditional families are no longer politically correct. How long before they are punished through removal of tax deductions and other social programs.
Recreational use of marijuana “legal” in Washington and Colorado
Initiative 502, passed last month by Washington voters, legalized recreational marijuana use starting December 6, but it will take a year before there are rules for growing and selling it.
Edit. Once again, let’s analysis this news headline not by what it is stating but by reading between the lines. First the Baby Boomers and later generations are now in political, cultural, and social control of society. To these people recreational use of pot has been “naughty” at worst, if not completely accepted at best, we have only to look at our recent Presidents to verify this: remember Clinton’s famous,but I didn’t inhale line from the 1990’s. In addition, promoters of pot legalization, as well as, many politicians cite the fact that our prison systems are clogged with minor drug offenders who are really innocent victims of a repressive system. Finally, and most importantly, the State sees the opportunity of revenue through taxation and regulation. This is an untapped new source in tough economic times.
Yet, one important element is missing in all the media promotion of this new campaign and that is the effect it has on society. Marx once said: religion is the opiate of the people; obviously for those of us of Faith this is mere Communist propaganda on a grand scale. However, the legalization of pot is, in fact, a literal opiate of the people as some opponents anticipate a lack of motivation and incentive among high school and college students, who are also the largest demographic of abusers of recreational drugs and alcohol. So not only will our student population be dumbed-down by insipid and useless curricula, but they will be dumbed-down under the stupefying effects of pot. After all, there is a reason why our parent’s generation referred to drugs as “dope”.

Police: Give Us Your Guns, We’ll Give You Flu Shots
The “deal” in offered by Worcester Police in Worcester, Massachusetts seems like a double loss for those who are stupid enough to engage in it. Residents are being asked to turn in firearms, unloaded of course, to the police in exchange for gift cards. However, they are also giving away free flu shots. Apparently they want to provide flu shots instead of gun shots to the community.
Edit. Well, I reckon their playing shot for shot. I know a bad pun, but you get the point …oops, again.
Actually, the Newest Version of NDAA Makes It EASIER To Detain Citizens Indefinitely
Afran explained that the new provision gives U.S. citizens a right to go to civilian (i.e. Article III) court based on “any [applicable] constitutional rights,” but since there are no rules in place to exercise this right, detained U.S. citizens currently have no way to gain access to lawyers, family or the court itself once they are detained within the military.
Edit. Ben Franklin said: Freedom is not a gift bestowed upon us by other men, but a right that belongs to us by the laws of God and nature. Freedom requires vigilance and also knowledge. With our greater society more interested in reality TV and spectator sports we’ve become a nation of malingering idiots and deserve the government we get. The unfortunate aspect is that there is a minority of the population that keeps informed and is proactive, but they fight against a rising tide of willful ignorance.

Sufficient for the day is the evil thereof.
I’ve begun research into next year’s seed supply. As stated last week I will be going to the “preppers” type seed banks, or seeds-in-a-can, type of supply. This effort requires much study as not all seeds are the same any longer. With so many varieties of seeds now GMO degenerated it is hard to tell even for named varieties if they are pure non GMO, non-hybrid, and open pollinated. Vigilance is the watchword in this tedious process.
I’ve contacted my honeybee supplier and put in my order for 4 nucs for April 2013 delivery. This will give my apiary a head start and a better chance of survival in the coming years. These nucs are comprised of local native bees so cold hardiness will increase the odds of making it.
I’ve also ordered two warming boards for the rabbitry. Since winters are quite harsh here I’ve lost kits in the past by breeding throughout the winter. This time I will begin my breeding schedule in February 2013 so kits will be kindled (born) in mid to late March. The idea of the warming boards will increase the survivability of the kits. This is now crucial as I will be breeding my own line of Florida Whites a plan that has been in the making for several years now. My last successful brood of kits will be the basis for this breed. Needless to say, this will necessitate the culling of the herd of which I now have 13 rabbits. The older ones and the ones who have underperformed will be going to the freezer. This is the hard part of animal husbandry, but is quite necessary. The same will happen to ol’ Henrietta as I will soon be ordering chicks for 2013.
Meantime, other chores and puttin’ out small fires has occupied my week. With the cold the automatic garage door has stopped working correctly so I’ve had to devote some time to this repair, which is still not completed. Also the LP heater in the greenhouse is on the fritz, necessitating ordering of a replacement pilot assembly. Meantime, I’m using an expensive electric space heater to keep my plants alive.
Speaking of plants, I finally got into the greenhouse to organize the plants which largely consisted of removing all the geraniums from pots and planters to be hung in a sack in the cool basement. This process is basically a hit or miss procedure but is largely successful for me in past years. I’ve noticed the price of geraniums increase each and every year and while they are not essential, as they cannot be eaten, they certainly add graciousness to life in the summer.
Finally, this past week we had the birth of my forth grandchild, a boy. As you read this he is being baptized and a grand party is being enjoyed. Mother and child are well and happy. Thank God for such another precious gift.
Putting It all In Perspective & Final commentary
It is a changed world and changing still. What was valued by those who came before us is today ridiculed. What was abhorrent then is embraced now. Whether in culture, society, politics, or religion all spheres are tainted, no imbued by the cult of man and under diabolic disorientation. Even within traditional Catholic circles there is an inclination to Modernism. Whether through fatigue to fight the good fight, or convenience, or practicality many who fought by our sides are falling in the fray. Others are wounded and confused. As Faithful Catholics we must not shrink from battle. The life of a Christian is trial and travail. As in all adversity down through the ages we must stand our ground, regroup, and advance under the banner of Christ the King. Remember, we will all be accountable for our actions and our omissions. So what will you say when we stand in front of the Judgment Seat and are asked in what way we defended Christ and His Mystical Body on Earth
Meantime, for all the orthodox, traditional Faithful, lay and clerical alike, continue to pray the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Consecration of Russia by the Pope and all the Bishops. Time is growing short and she, Our Blessed Lady, is staying back the hand of her Son. She is our only recourse.
